Just saying hi to Irina the cat.
My adventures as a blogger in Southern California.
Just saying hi to Irina the cat.
Today I rode my bike home during a freak sand storm. Palm fronds were falling from the sky, and it was a bit tricky pedaling against the wind, but it was exhilarating as well. Several nice ladies at the store told me to be careful before I ventured out on my bike, and I said thanks. It feels good living in a place where people know you, and ask about you. I like the small town feel our our city, and I do not mind riding my bike in the summer. I know some people do not like the heat, but I love it.
There is so much in life worth being happy about, and I realize sometimes you just have to look at the trees. Well this has always been my philosophy, but it becomes more so when I realize I am taking time for granted because time is precious. I want to enjoy every minute of it. I want to be happy and find things to smile and laugh about. I do not feel I have to even explain this, but I think it has to do with learning to appreciate what you have, and admiring beauty where you find it.
Irina enjoys hanging out around the plants in the container garden. I especially like the photo of her sitting next to the lettuce.
